Remote Model: What is a remote control model outboard?

Most small boats use tiller-operated outboards. However, certain applications require a "remote control" model outboard. A remote control model outboard is one that is equipped with remote steering, throttle, and shift controls. A control box with 33C type control cables is used to remotely control gear shift and throttle. Typically, remote models are equipped with a steering hook plate or link arm to connect to a boat's steering/cable system.
